Film Festivals
Celebrating Sikh Stories
Sikhlens Film Festivals were created to give a platform to films about Sikh history, culture, and global experiences. Over the years, Sikhlens has produced and supported hundreds of films through its different programs.
We realized that these films needed a place to be seen and celebrated. Inspired by mainstream film festivals, Sikhlens started its own festivals to showcase stories from the Sikh community and the wider world.
These festivals bring together filmmakers, students, families, and community members to watch films that inspire, educate, and connect people.
Global Festivals
Today, Sikhlens Film Festivals take place in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, India, and other countries, with new locations being added every year.
Each festival may run for one day or several days depending on the location. Some are small community events, while others are large gatherings with international guests.
These festivals celebrate the Sikh diaspora and show how Sikh stories are part of the global cultural conversation.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Film festivals are not only for watching movies. They are also a way to inspire young people to explore careers in film, media, and storytelling.
Students meet filmmakers, attend discussions, and learn about opportunities in the creative world.
Sikhlens believes festivals help open doors for the next generation and encourage them to tell their own stories.
